66 Palestinians Killed in Intensified Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza

Gaza: The Israeli army escalated airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, leading to the deaths of at least 66 more Palestinians, according to medical sources.

According to Anadolu Agency, the recent strikes targeted various locations across the Gaza Strip, contributing to the growing toll of civilian casualties. In western Gaza City, a strike near the Qatari Committee headquarters resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians in a displacement tent. In Tel al-Hawa, another strike killed one person and injured nine others near the Al-Quds Hospital.

The Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City saw five lives lost when a tent sheltering displaced individuals was targeted. In the northern Gaza City neighborhood of Sheikh Radwan, two children were killed, and others were injured in an attack. Deir al-Balah suffered the loss of two civilians in a drone strike on a gathering, while a young girl died in a separate strike on a home east of the city.

In the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, seven Palestinians, including a child and two women, were killed in a strike on a displacement tent. A subsequent strike on Street 5 claimed the lives of a father, mother, and their son, leaving other family members wounded. Central Khan Younis also witnessed a civilian death on Jalal Street.

In Tel al-Hawa, Gaza City, an airstrike on a home killed four people, including an infant. The Rimal neighborhood saw six people killed in a strike on a tent sheltering displaced civilians. Additionally, a civilian was killed in a gathering in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, and in al-Sudaniya, a person waiting for aid was shot dead by Israeli forces.

Deir al-Balah experienced further attacks, with one person killed in a house bombing and another in a strike on a tent west of al-Zawaida. Strikes on the Abu Helou School in al-Bureij refugee camp injured several civilians. Two more people were killed in a drone strike targeting a vehicle outside al-Manfalouti School.

Southern Gaza's Khan Younis area saw nine people, including a child, killed in bombings on tents in al-Mawasi, leaving dozens injured. A family of four died in another tent strike, while three others were killed near Nasser Hospital, and a fourth was shot dead in western Khan Younis.

A civilian was killed near the al-Shuhada Mosque, and others were wounded in a nearby tent attack. Two people died in a strike on a civilian gathering near Site 17 on Khan Younis Road. In the al-Shakoush area of Rafah, two civilians were killed and over 35 injured by Israeli gunfire.

In Mawasi al-Qarara, a man died when his tent was bombed, and another person was killed in a drone strike near Bani Suheila Square in eastern Khan Younis. The Israeli army's actions have resulted in nearly 57,600 Palestinian deaths, predominantly women and children, since October 2023. The continuous bombardment has devastated the enclave, causing food shortages and disease spread.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
