Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday engaged in a 'substantive conversation' with US special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg. The discussions centered around arms supply, joint defense production, and imposing sanctions on Russia.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Kellogg for leading the US delegation to the Ukraine recovery conference. Their meeting covered ongoing American arms deliveries, enhancing Ukraine's air defense capabilities, and expanding joint defense manufacturing efforts within Ukraine.

Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of increasing pressure on Russia's energy exports, particularly through secondary sanctions aimed at oil buyers. He mentioned optimism regarding progress on a bill proposed by Senators Graham and Blumenthal in the US Congress, which he believes could encourage Russia to consider peace more seriously.

The Ukrainian President also conveyed his appreciation for the bipartisan support from the US, acknowledging President Trump, both parties, and the American people for their continued support and assistance. He highlighted the significance of the friendship between the two nations.
