According to Anadolu Agency, Hamas stated that it has demonstrated the necessary flexibility in the negotiations by agreeing to release the hostages. The discussions continue to address critical issues such as the flow of aid, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, and securing guarantees for a lasting ceasefire. Israel has not yet responded to Hamas's statement.

The Israeli public broadcaster, citing an unnamed source, reported that Israel has also shown "significant flexibility," particularly regarding the potential withdrawal from the Morag axis in southern Gaza. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump expressed optimism, stating that his administration is "getting very close to a deal" on a ceasefire in the region.

Former Israeli Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot has called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to finalize a deal to return hostages and establish a permanent ceasefire. This follows discussions Trump had with Netanyahu, focusing on the Gaza ceasefire and a prisoner exchange deal.

Negotiations between delegations from Hamas and Israel are ongoing in Doha, Qatar, as both sides seek to end the conflict that has resulted in over 57,000 Palestinian deaths since October 2023.
