Washington: US President Donald Trump accused Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton of orchestrating the 'crime of the century' by fabricating the Russia interference investigation to undermine his 2016 election win.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump made these claims on Truth Social, asserting that 'Obama himself manufactured the Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX.' He went on to implicate 'Crooked Hillary, Sleepy Joe, and numerous others' in what he termed 'THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY!' Trump emphasized his point by referring to 'Irrefutable EVIDENCE' and described it as a 'major threat to our country.'

These statements follow a criminal referral made to the US Department of Justice by former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. She alleged a 'treasonous conspiracy' by senior officials from the Obama administration aimed at undermining Trump's 2016 victory and questioning the democratic process. In her statement, Gabbard claimed that Obama and his national security team 'laid the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against' Trump by allegedly fabricating intelligence to suggest Russian interference in the election.

Gabbard further asserted that Obama-era officials disseminated misleading information to media outlets, including The Washington Post, claiming that Russia had employed cyber tactics to interfere with the election outcome. In response to the document release, Trump shared a video on Truth Social, featuring Democratic leaders declaring 'No one is above the law,' concluding with an AI-generated clip depicting Obama's arrest in the Oval Office.
