Cape canaveral: SpaceX postponed the Falcon 9 launch Sunday of Amazon's KF-02 satellite mission due to unfavorable weather conditions.

According to Anadolu Agency, SpaceX announced that the launch, initially scheduled for Sunday, is now targeted for the following day, August 11, due to adverse weather impacting recovery conditions. They confirmed that both the vehicle and the payload remain healthy, emphasizing safety as a priority.

The launch window is set to open for 27 minutes at 8:35 am US Eastern Time (1235GMT) from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Amazon highlighted that the weather conditions specifically affecting the booster recovery were the reason behind the postponement, reiterating that the launch vehicle and payload are in good condition.

This mission marks the first flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting the KF-02 mission. SpaceX detailed post-launch plans, explaining that after stage separation, the first stage will attempt to land on the "A Shortfall of Gravitas" droneship, which is stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

The KF-02 mission aims to deploy 24 satellites as part of Amazon's Project Kuiper constellation. This project is designed to provide global broadband internet access and involves deploying over 3,200 satellites in low Earth orbit.
