Tel aviv: Israel's military Chief of Staff has approved the 'main framework' for an operational plan to occupy the Gaza Strip, the army announced on Wednesday. Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff, authorized the plan during a high-level meeting with the General Staff Forum, representatives from the ISA (Israel's internal security agency), and other military commanders.

According to Anadolu Agency, a military statement detailed that the meeting also included a presentation of the IDF's (Israel Defense Forces) actions so far, highlighting a recent strike in the Zeitoun area that commenced on Tuesday. The military outlined that the central concept for the plan's next stages in the Gaza Strip was both presented and approved, aligning with directives from the political echelon.
