Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, began Thursday's trading session on a downward trend. The index opened at 10,908.05 points, marking a decrease of 0.38%, or 41.90 points, from its previous closing position.
According to Anadolu Agency, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 had experienced a slight decline on Wednesday, closing at 10,949.95 points, a marginal drop of 0.04%. The daily transaction volume reached 103.9 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.55 billion.
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 40.7820 liras to the US dollar, 47.7880 to the euro, and 55.5440 to the British pound. In the commodities market, the price of an ounce of gold was $3,358.75, with Brent crude oil trading at $65.70 per barrel.
