Anchorage: Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated that she would nominate President Donald Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize if he successfully helps end the Russia-Ukraine war without Ukraine losing any of its territory to Russia. Clinton made this comment on a podcast during the meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

According to Anadolu Agency, Clinton emphasized that any peace agreement should include a ceasefire, no territorial exchanges, and a gradual withdrawal of Russian forces from seized lands. She expressed that if Trump could achieve such a resolution, it would not only prevent Ukraine from conceding to Russian demands but also set a significant precedent against aggression.

Clinton remarked that her nomination of Trump would be based on the successful implementation of a peace deal that resists any form of capitulation to Russian President Vladimir Putin. She reiterated her concerns about setting a precedent where the US might inadvertently support Russian territorial ambitions.

She expressed hope that Trump might stand up to Putin, not only for Ukraine's democracy and people but also for broader US security and interests. Clinton's comments drew a response from Trump, who acknowledged her statements as "very nice" and humorously suggested he might have to start liking her again.
