Erdogan Urges Action Against Netanyahu to Preserve Peace

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the need to prevent Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from undermining peace efforts during a conversation with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. The discussion, which took place on Saturday, highlighted Erdogan's concerns about the Israeli government's apparent lack of commitment to pursuing peace.

According to Anadolu Agency, the leaders talked over the phone about bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues. Erdogan pointed out that significant progress was made at the United Nations General Assembly this year towards achieving a two-state solution in Palestine.

Erdogan reiterated Trkiye's commitment to halting Israeli actions in Gaza and ensuring the continuous flow of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the region. He praised Sanchez for his attention to the Sumud aid flotilla and assured that Trkiye is closely monitoring the situation.
