Trkiye Evacuates 11 Humanitarian Workers from Eastern Mediterranean

Ankara: The Turkish National Defense Ministry announced that 11 individuals, including three Turkish citizens, involved in humanitarian efforts in the Eastern Mediterranean have been evacuated by the Turkish Naval Forces.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry stated, "As part of humanitarian activities carried out by civilian vessels in the Eastern Mediterranean, 11 people who requested assistance, including three Turkish citizens, have been safely evacuated to shore by our Naval Forces."

The Global Sumud Flotilla, which is an international humanitarian initiative aimed at delivering aid to Gaza, reported that it is currently less than 90 nautical miles (166 kilometers) from the Gaza Strip, which is under blockade by Israel. This mission includes activists, politicians, and volunteers from a range of countries, all working together to provide aid.
