Ukraine Reports Deadly Russian Drone Strike on Energy Workers’ Vehicle in Chernihiv

Chernihiv: Two employees of a regional energy company lost their lives while three others sustained injuries when a Russian drone targeted their vehicle in Ukraine's northern Chernihiv region, according to local authorities.

According to Anadolu Agency, Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv regional administration, shared details of the attack on Telegram, stating it occurred within the Semenivska community on Friday. Chaus reported that a Russian drone struck a vehicle belonging to the regional energy company, causing it to catch fire. He added that a subsequent strike hit another company vehicle as emergency services responded to the initial incident.

Chaus also alleged that the Russian military deliberately targeted a local fire brigade that had arrived on the scene to manage the situation. As of now, Russia has not issued any comments regarding these allegations, and independent verification remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict in the region.
