Ankara: Trkiye's Central Bank is anticipated to reduce interest rates by 150 basis points to 38% next week, as revealed by an Anadolu survey on Monday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the last monetary policy committee meeting of the year is scheduled for this Thursday, where the bank will announce its decision regarding interest rates. The survey included thirty-eight economists, all of whom predicted a decline in the interest rate at the upcoming meeting. Their forecasts varied from 100 basis points to 200 basis points, averaging a decrease of 150 basis points.

In the previous month's meeting, the Central Bank had already lowered the policy rate by 100 basis points, bringing it down to 39.5%.
