Ankara: The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a strong condemnation of Israel's recent military actions in the Gaza Strip, citing violations of the cease-fire that threaten ongoing international efforts to restore peace and stability in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry conveyed its disapproval through a statement on NSosyal, a Turkish social media platform. The statement emphasized that Israel's actions undermine the peace process in Gaza, which has recently entered a critical phase. The ministry warned that these developments jeopardize international endeavors to establish tranquility and stability in the enclave, asserting that Israel's actions reveal an unwillingness to foster peace in the region.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry called for Israel to adhere to all aspects of the Peace Plan as adopted by UN Security Council resolutions. Key provisions include maintaining the cease-fire and ensuring the unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The statement highlighted the importance of the international community fulfilling its responsibility to advance the peace process.

The recent escalation has resulted in the deaths of more than 524 Palestinians since the ceasefire took effect in early October. In the last 24 hours alone, Israeli attacks across various parts of Gaza have claimed the lives of 37 Palestinians.
