Defense Industry Executive Committee Meets Under Turkish President


Ankara: Trkiye’s Defense Industry Executive Committee met at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Trkiye’s Communications Directorate said Wednesday. The meeting marked the first of its kind in 2026 and focused on reviewing the activities of the Turkish defense industry in 2025, alongside discussions on its export performance, future targets, and ongoing critical projects.



According to Anadolu Agency, the committee evaluated the export success of the defense industry, set future goals, and reviewed critical projects. The statement highlighted a commitment to supporting the domestic and national defense sector. Agenda items concerning current and planned projects to meet the needs of the Ministries of National Defense and Interior were also discussed and resolved.



The statement expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the Turkish defense industry, attributing them to the strong support of the nation and state. It emphasized the need to continue efforts with even greater resolve in 2026, stating that the progress in the defense industry will be sustained with determination and perseverance through the use of domestic and national technologies.



The directorate concluded by announcing the decisions made during the meeting to the public, underscoring the importance of transparency and ongoing development in Trkiye’s defense sector.
