Kuwait city: Kuwait announced on Sunday that its air defenses successfully intercepted three out of seven ballistic missiles after detecting 'hostile' aerial targets breaching its airspace. Defense Ministry spokesman Col. Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan reported that the remaining four missiles were outside the threat range and did not require engagement.

According to Anadolu Agency, air defense systems also identified five drones during the incident. Two of these drones were destroyed, while three were not intercepted. Two drones impacted the perimeter of Kuwait International Airport, leading to explosions in fuel tanks. Another drone struck the Public Institution for Social Security building in Kuwait City, causing material damage.

The Kuwaiti General Staff confirmed that explosions heard in multiple areas were the result of air defense systems intercepting the 'hostile' aerial targets.
