Qatar Intercepts Third Missile Attack as Explosions Rock Doha

Doha: Qatar’s armed forces successfully intercepted a missile attack targeting the nation on Wednesday, according to the Defense Ministry. This incident marks the third such attack intercepted recently, amid growing security concerns in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Defense Ministry did not provide details regarding any injuries or damage resulting from the intercepted missile. Local media reported that the skies over Doha were filled with explosions due to the interception operations. Earlier on Wednesday, the Interior Ministry issued a warning about a ‘high-level security threat,’ advising residents to stay indoors for their safety.

Tensions in the region have been escalating since February 28, following a joint military operation by Israel and the United States against Iran, resulting in over 1,200 fatalities and approximately 10,000 injuries. In response, Tehran has conducted drone and missile strikes on targets in Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military personnel.
