Basra: Two drones fell inside an oil field in southern Iraq, according to Iraqi media reports Friday. The incidents occurred within the Majnoon oil field located in the southern province of Basra.

According to Anadolu Agency, there were no reports of material damage or casualties resulting from the drone incidents. The region has been experiencing heightened tensions following a joint attack by Israel and the US on Iran on February 28, which Iranian authorities report has resulted in 1,300 deaths and over 10,000 injuries.

In response to the attack, Iran launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets, contributing to the current regional instability.
