Israel Launches ‘Wide-Scale’ Wave of Airstrikes on Iran

Tehran: The Israeli army announced on Monday the commencement of a 'wide-scale' wave of airstrikes across Iran. The military confirmed that the strikes targeted regime infrastructure in the capital, Tehran, as well as the cities of Shiraz and Tabriz in western Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, the military did not disclose specific details regarding the targets hit or provide information on potential casualties resulting from the airstrikes. The escalation follows joint attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran, which began on February 28. These attacks have led to approximately 1,300 deaths, including the former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In response, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes aimed at Israel and several other locations, including Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries, which it claims are targeting 'US military assets.'
