Baghdad: At least four people were killed and two were injured by a rocket attack that targeted a house in the Jadriya area of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, a security source said Tuesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the death toll is likely to rise. Preliminary information suggests that the house was hosting members of Iraqi armed factions. The attack comes amid escalating hostilities in the region following joint attacks by Israel and the US on Iran on February 28, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These attacks have caused casualties and damage to infrastructure, while also disrupting global markets and aviation.
