Bahrain Claims Successful Neutralization of 244 Drones and 143 Missiles Amid Regional Escalation

Manama: Bahrain's air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 244 drones and 143 missiles since the start of Iranian attacks on its territory, the Bahraini army announced. The statement highlights the ongoing tension in the region following the escalation of hostilities.

According to Anadolu Agency, these hostilities intensified after Israel and the US launched joint attacks against Iran on February 28, resulting in the deaths of more than 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran has responded with drone and missile strikes, targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets. These retaliatory attacks have led to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruption to global markets and aviation.
