Ankara: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, concluded Tuesday's trading session at 12,930.16 points, marking a decrease of 1.81%. The index started the day at 13,104.59 points and saw a loss of 238 points from Monday's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fluctuated between a low of 12,908.86 and a high of 13,136.62 throughout the day. The market value of the BIST 100 was estimated at approximately 12.6 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $284.8 billion, with a trading volume reported at 140 billion Turkish liras, or $3.17 billion.

Among the stocks listed on the index, 16 showed an increase, while 80 experienced a decline compared to the previous close. In related markets, gold was trading at $4,418.20 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were priced at $99.90 per barrel as of 7.30 pm local time (1630GMT).

On the foreign exchange front, the US dollar was exchanged at 44.3470 Turkish liras, the euro at 51.4530 Turkish liras, and the British pound at 59.4190 Turkish liras.
