Ankara: Turkish and Iranian foreign ministers discussed the Mideast war and ongoing efforts to halt the conflict, as revealed by diplomatic sources. In a recent telephone conversation, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi deliberated on the persistent war and diplomatic initiatives aimed at bringing it to an end.
According to Anadolu Agency, the region has been on high alert following a joint offensive by the US and Israel against Iran that commenced on February 28. This offensive has resulted in the deaths of over 1,340 individuals, including the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has launched retaliatory drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries housing US military assets. These actions have led to casualties, infrastructural damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
