Istanbul: Trkiye’s benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, concluded the day on Thursday with positive momentum, closing at 13,689 points, marking a 1.12% increase from the previous day.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index began trading at 13,530.61 points and gained 152.16 points from Wednesday’s closing value. Throughout the day, the index recorded a low of 13,529.12 and reached a high of 13,712.46 points.

The market value of the BIST 100 was approximately 13.3 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $299.4 billion, with a trading volume reaching 182 billion liras, or $4.08 billion. In comparison to the previous closing, 57 stocks on the index saw an increase, while 42 experienced a decline.

As of 6.45 pm local time (1545GMT), gold was trading at $4,792.65 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were priced at $97.3 per barrel. The exchange rates for the US dollar, euro, and British pound against the Turkish lira were 44.5665, 52.2260, and 59.9780 liras, respectively.
