Medulin: Four people lost their lives on Thursday when a small aircraft crashed near the Adriatic coastal town of Medulin in Croatia's Istria region, as reported by local authorities. The incident unfolded in the Campanoz area, situated between Kastijun and Medulin, in close proximity to the Medulin sports airport.

According to Anadolu Agency, the crash took place at approximately 11.20 am local time (0920GMT). Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the site following reports of the accident. Tragically, all four individuals on board the aircraft were confirmed deceased at the scene.

The ill-fated plane was traveling from Austria to Croatia, with a scheduled landing at Medulin airport. Further investigations into the cause of the crash are underway.
