US Strikes Leave Four Dead and Fourteen Injured in Iran

Tehran: At least four people were killed and 14 others injured in separate US strikes across southwestern and central Iran on Monday, according to Iranian officials. According to Anadolu Agency, in Khuzestan province, Deputy Governor Valiollah Hayati stated a US strike hit an agricultural water pumping station in Mahshahr County. This incident resulted in the death of a security guard working at the facility and left four others injured. The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment, although further details on the extent of their injuries have not been disclosed. In another incident, Isfahan Deputy Governor for Security Affairs Akbar Salehi reported a US attack targeted a military base in the city of Nain in central Iran. This attack resulted in the death of one person and injured seven others. Salehi informed the official IRNA news agency that the strike occurred in the early hours of Monday and mentioned that all of the injured were treated as outpatients. Additionally, US projectile s struck three locations in Abadan County, located in the southwestern Khuzestan province, as reported by the semi-official Fars News Agency, citing a provincial deputy governor. The official revealed that two people were killed and three others injured in this attack. He added that initial assessments were ongoing and further details would be provided later. The strikes were part of a broader wave of US military actions reported across southern Iran early Monday, affecting areas including Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Qeshm Island, Jask, Bushehr, and Kangan. The US Central Command stated that the latest strikes aimed to further degrade Iran's ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
