Iran: Iran has released a rare video of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, following reports suggesting his health was in critical condition.

According to Anadolu Agency, the video was aired by the semi-official Mehr News Agency. It showed Mojtaba Khamenei surrounded by several people and appeared to be engaging in conversation with them. The agency did not provide details on when or where the video was recorded, nor did it identify the individuals accompanying him.

Mehr News Agency reported that Mojtaba recently met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who is beginning his third year in office. Their discussions focused on Iran's current challenges, including public livelihood needs and the ongoing military conflict with the United States. Economic interactions with foreign partners were also on the agenda.

Mojtaba Khamenei was appointed as Iran's supreme leader in early March, following the death of his father, Ali Khamenei, who was killed in a US-Israeli airstrike on February 28. Since his selection, Mojtaba has not been seen in public until the release of this video.

In April, Iran and the United States agreed to a ceasefire and subsequently signed a memorandum of understanding in June, aimed at ending their military conflict and fostering a lasting peace agreement. However, the deal collapsed last month, leading to nearly two weeks of exchanged attacks between Tehran and Washington. The hostilities were abruptly halted by US President Donald Trump amid reports of ongoing talks to resolve the conflict.
