Turkish Air Force Joins NATO Defense Activity in Romania


Bucharest: Turkish Air Force aircraft participated in a NATO Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) activity in Romanian airspace, as confirmed by Trkiye’s National Defense Ministry.



According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry announced on Turkish social media platform NSosyal that the Turkish Air Force is actively contributing to NATO’s integrated air and missile defense operations. The activity, which took place on August 13, featured two F-16 fighter jets, an E-7T airborne early warning and control aircraft, and a KC-135R aerial refueling aircraft.



The ministry reported that a low-speed interception training exercise was successfully conducted for the first time during the event. This exercise was carried out in coordination with NATO assets, highlighting the collaborative efforts of participating forces.
