Russia Extends Ban on Fuel Exports Until September 30

Moscow: Russia announced on Saturday that it has prolonged a ban on exporting certain types of fuel, including diesel, until September 30.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Russian government released a statement confirming that a decree had been signed to extend the ban, which also encompasses the export of marine fuel and gas oils by Russian producers. The decision aims to ensure stability within the domestic fuel market. Furthermore, the statement highlighted that a comprehensive ban on fuel exports remains in effect until January 31, 2027.

The export prohibition on diesel, marine fuel, and gas oils was initially set to expire on Monday. Recent Ukrainian strikes targeting Russian energy infrastructure have exacerbated challenges in Russia's fuel sector.
