Gaza City:Gaza At least six Palestinians were killed and 10 others were injured, including five university students, in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Sunday. These attacks are reported as further violations of last year's ceasefire agreement, according to medical sources.
According to Anadolu Agency – English, three Palestinians lost their lives and others were injured in an Israeli strike on the Islamic University campus in Gaza City. The attack occurred shortly after an Israeli drone strike targeted a gathering of students on campus, injuring five, some critically. Consequently, the university suspended all administrative and academic activities at its Gaza City premises, causing panic among students and displaced Palestinians seeking shelter on campus.
In northern Gaza, an attack along Al-Rashid coastal road led to several injuries among civilians, though the exact number was not specified by medical sources. Additionally, a Palestinian was hospitalized with a gunshot wound in the Al-Faluja area west of Jabalia refugee camp. In southern Gaza, two Palestinians were killed and three others injured in an Israeli strike in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, with one woman sustaining moderate injuries from Israeli gunfire.
Israeli artillery and naval forces also targeted areas in south and east Gaza, with artillery shelling and gunboats firing toward the coast. In central Gaza, a 33-year-old man was killed in a strike east of Deir al-Balah. Additionally, at dawn on Sunday, two demolitions were carried out by Israeli forces in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood of eastern Gaza City, resulting in two large explosions.
Despite a ceasefire effective since October 10, 2025, the ongoing conflict has resulted in the deaths of 1,551 Palestinians and injuries to 5,573 others, as reported by Gaza's Health Ministry. Since October 2023, Israel's war in Gaza has claimed more than 74,000 Palestinian lives and injured over 175,000, while causing significant destruction to approximately 90% of the territory's civilian infrastructure.
