7-Year-Old Girl Among Four Palestinians Killed in Gaza Attacks

Khan Younis:Gaza Four Palestinians, including a 7-year-old girl, were killed and 14 others injured in attacks by the Israeli army and Israel-backed gunmen in the Gaza Strip on Monday. These incidents occurred amid ongoing violations of last year's ceasefire agreement, as reported by a medical source.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, a source at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza confirmed that the bodies of two young men and a girl were brought to the hospital following an airstrike and gunfire in the Bir 19 area west of Khan Younis.

An Israeli drone conducted several strikes on Bir 19, targeting an area with tents for displaced Palestinians. This attack resulted in the death of a young man and moderate injuries to four others. Witnesses reported that Israeli military vehicles also fired heavily toward the displacement tents, with Israeli-backed gunmen firing in the surrounding area, leading to the deaths of another young man and a 7-year-old girl who was inside her tent.

In a separate incident, another Palestinian man was killed and four others were injured in an Israeli strike west of Khan Younis. Local sources indicated that an Israeli drone struck a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis. Additionally, Israeli artillery shelled areas east of Khan Younis, with military vehicles stationed east of the city opening heavy fire.

In central Gaza, a Palestinian woman sustained moderate injuries from Israeli gunfire in the Ard al-Shawa area east of Deir al-Balah. Witnesses noted that Israeli military vehicles made a limited advance east of Deir al-Balah amid heavy gunfire.

Israeli artillery also shelled eastern Gaza City in northern Gaza, with tanks positioned behind the 'Yellow Line' opening fire east of the Shujaiya and Tuffah neighborhoods. The 'Yellow Line' marks the boundary where Israeli forces withdrew during the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, delineating areas under Israeli military control and those where Palestinians are permitted to remain.

Despite the ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025, the Israeli army has continued daily attacks in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,551 Palestinians and injuries to 5,573 others, according to Gaza's Health Ministry. Since October 2023, Israel has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000 others in Gaza, with approximately 90% of the enclave's civilian infrastructure destroyed.
