Türkiye Denies Allegations of Interference in Israel’s Elections

Ankara:Türkiye has firmly rejected claims circulating in certain international media outlets and on social media that it interfered in the recent elections held in Israel, describing the accusations as "entirely baseless."

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the Communications Directorate's Center for Countering Disinformation stated on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal that these allegations are part of a deliberate disinformation campaign aimed at manipulating public opinion.

The center advised the public to disregard these false reports and allegations, which are intended to mislead.

The statement came amid a political deadlock in Israel, as the country remains without a clear governing majority following Tuesday's elections. As of Thursday, with 95% of votes counted, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc had secured 53 seats in the 120-member Knesset, while the opposition Change bloc had 48, and Arab parties held 19. Neither of the main blocs had reached the 61 seats required to form a government.
