Saudi Citizen Injured by Debris from Intercepted Missiles in Riyadh

Riyadh:A Saudi citizen was injured on Thursday after debris from two Houthi ballistic missiles, which were intercepted and destroyed over Riyadh, fell in the capital. The Saudi Civil Defense reported that the individual sustained minor injuries due to the falling debris.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the debris also caused material damage to a home and a vehicle. Authorities in Riyadh responded promptly after intercepting the missiles, which were launched by Yemen's Houthi group.

The Saudi Civil Defense confirmed that emergency procedures were implemented following the interception. This incident comes amid ongoing fighting between Yemen's government forces and the Houthis, which has intensified in recent weeks as part of a Saudi-led coalition's military campaign against the group.

The Houthis announced that they executed six attacks on Thursday targeting various locations in Saudi Arabia, including oil refineries and airports. They claimed the attacks disrupted air traffic and caused casualties at a military command facility in Najran. These operations are part of the broader Operation Dawn of Yemen, aiming to dislodge Houthi fighters.
