Beijing: The death toll in China from heavy rain and floods rose to 22, with five additional fatalities reported in Gansu, northwestern China.

According to Anadolu Agency, data from the provincial flood control and drought relief headquarters office indicated that 15 people have died and 28 are missing, with 15 others injured in the Yuzhong region. The heavy rain and floods have also displaced 9,828 people in the area.

Local authorities reported that at least 10 people were killed and 33 are missing after heavy rainfall struck central parts of Gansu province on Thursday night.
