Ankara:Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the significance of bolstering ties with Turkmenistan, especially in trade, investment, energy, and the defense industry, during a meeting with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhammedov.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the meeting took place following the 13th Heads of State Summit of the Organization of Turkic Summit held in Ankara.

The discussions between the two leaders focused on bilateral relations, as well as global and regional issues. Erdogan commended Turkmenistan's contributions to the Turkic world and expressed Turkey's intent to further enhance cooperation under the organization. Additionally, Erdogan extended an invitation to Berdimuhammedov for the upcoming COP31 Leaders' Summit in Antalya next month.
