Falling Tree Claims Lives of Three, Including Infant, at Easter Event in Germany

Satrupholm: Three people, including a 10-month-old baby, were killed when a tree fell during an Easter egg hunt in northern Germany on Sunday, police said. The tragic event unfolded near Satrupholm, where approximately 50 individuals had gathered to participate in the festive occasion.

According to Anadolu Agency, the incident occurred due to strong winds that caused the tree to collapse onto the group. The victims included a 21-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl who died at the scene, while the woman's baby succumbed to injuries later in the hospital. An 18-year-old woman also sustained serious injuries during the incident.

Authorities had previously issued a high wind warning for the area. Regional officials expressed their condolences, stating, "Our thoughts are with the families of the victims."
