Tel aviv: The Israeli military announced that it launched coordinated airstrikes targeting infrastructure linked to Iran's government across Tehran, Shiraz, and Ahvaz. According to the Israeli army, the strikes were carried out over the past 24 hours and aimed at crippling key government-linked sites in these cities.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli Air Force conducted multiple waves of strikes under the guidance of military intelligence. The operation was directed at infrastructure associated with what the army referred to as the 'Iranian terrorist regime.' In Shiraz, the strikes focused on an underground facility reportedly used for producing and storing ballistic missiles meant for launch toward Israel.
In Tehran, the airstrikes targeted sites related to Iran's air defense system and various weapons production facilities. The Israeli forces aimed at crippling the central base and other sites involved in the creation of components for ballistic missiles. In Ahvaz, the strikes were directed at the headquarters of several Iranian government bodies, including the command centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps ground forces and a central command of internal security forces.
The Israeli military claimed that Iranian personnel were active at the targeted sites, with dozens of members allegedly coordinating operations against Israel and other regional countries. The military described the strikes as part of a broader phase intended to inflict significant damage on the core systems and foundations of Iran's government.
