La Vigne Castle: The integration of modern technology into historic structures like castles and chateaus has long presented challenges, particularly when it comes to preserving the architectural integrity of these sites. Many of these historic buildings require the establishment of new infrastructure from the ground up, with complications arising from thick stone walls that render Wi-Fi connections unreliable. According to Anadolu Agency, La Vigne Castle, a classified historical monument that hosts guided tours and offers guest accommodations, faced significant hurdles in providing reliable internet access, entertainment, and information services. Due to its protected status, traditional methods that might harm the castle's structure, such as drilling into stone walls or wooden panels, were not permissible. To address these challenges, a 'transparent fiber' solution was implemented at La Vigne Castle. This involved using specialized equipment to calculate the necessary materials and ensure optimal placement of the nearly invisible cable. The solution was small enough to be installed without compromising the castle's historical features. The introduction of high-speed internet has transformed the guest experience at La Vigne Castle, making video conferencing and streaming services seamless. The new infrastructure also improved security with connected cameras and allowed for innovative and immersive tour experiences for visitors. This project marks the first successful installation of high-speed internet in a castle, providing a model for future technological upgrades in historical monuments.
