Geneva: Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev will engage in talks with US officials in Geneva, Switzerland, as reported by state media. According to Tass news agency, Dmitriev plans to focus discussions on economic issues with the American delegation, although official announcements regarding the visit are still pending.
According to Anadolu Agency, the timing of Dmitriev's visit coincides with bilateral talks between Ukraine and the US, also scheduled in Geneva on Thursday. During these talks, both sides will deliberate on a 'prosperity package' for Ukraine, among other topics. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Kyiv's chief negotiator, Rustem Umerov, will meet with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, son-in-law of US President Donald Trump.
Zelenskyy mentioned that Umerov will be accompanied for the first time by Ukrainian Economy Minister Oleksii Sobolev. These meetings are seen as critical to ongoing diplomatic engagements concerning economic and regional issues.
