Istanbul:Trkiye exported more than $10 billion in defense and aerospace products to 180 countries and regions in 2025, as announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the Trkiye Innovation Week 2026 event.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, Erdogan emphasized Trkiye's dedication to enhancing research capabilities, supporting technology startups, and advancing higher-value production. He noted that the country has developed a significant research and development infrastructure as part of its national technology initiative.

Erdogan further stated that Trkiye aims to establish 100,000 technology startups by 2030, with a combined valuation of $100 billion. Istanbul's Ataturk Airport terminal buildings are being repurposed into the world's largest technology and entrepreneurship center, known as Terminal Istanbul.

In addition to technological advancements, Erdogan addressed ongoing investigations into investment funds. He assured that the authorities are managing the situation with precision and commitment to fairness, and stressed the importance of not letting the issue cast doubt on Trkiye's entire capital markets. The problem involves only 4.6% of funds, and using it to undermine the economy would be detrimental.
