Wichita:Two people, including a child, were killed and several others injured when a vehicle drove through a youth soccer game on Saturday. The incident occurred at the Stryker Sports Complex, according to Wichita police.

According to Anadolu Agency, the driver of the black Chevrolet Silverado involved in the incident was arrested at the scene. Wichita Police Captain Aaron Moses confirmed the fatalities and additional casualties, noting that the injured were transported to area hospitals.

Captain Moses stated that the vehicle remained at the scene and there is no ongoing threat to the public from the driver, who is currently in custody.
