Global Market Size of AI in Health Care to Exceed $200B in 2030

Ankara: The global market size of artificial intelligence (AI) in health care will exceed $200 billion, with a growth rate of 40% per year, the Turkish deputy health minister told Anadolu.

According to Anadolu Agency, Suayip Birinci stated that Trkiye is poised to be a key player in the AI health care market. He highlighted Trkiye's long-standing practice of collecting health data, which positions the country advantageously compared to others that have only recently begun similar initiatives. This capability underlines Trkiye's strengths in digital health.

Birinci pointed out that Trkiye has a significant edge in developing AI solutions for preventative health applications. He emphasized the necessity of valuable data in realizing these solutions and asserted that Trkiye is well-equipped to create AI applications that can emulate a doctor's approach to diseases.

'We are already ahead of many countries in Europe,' Birinci remarked, 'and in terms of integrating citizens into the digital health care ecosystem, these countries that are deemed to be 'above us' have as much population as the number of patients one of our hospitals serves in six months.'

He further noted that Trkiye's progress in digitizing health data places the nation ahead of many others. Despite acknowledging some shortcomings, Birinci expressed pride in Trkiye's track record, which he claims is admired globally.

Birinci concluded by emphasizing the importance of adhering to ethical principles in the pursuit of these advancements. He credited the support from various sectors, political institutions, and the expansion of e-Government applications for making these achievements possible, and expressed hopes for continued success in managing digital health systems.
