Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Kyiv would not accept even "10 cents of debt repayment" in its agreement with the United States.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine remains grateful for US support but will not agree to any conditions that require future aid to be non-gratis. He clarified that claims of a significant debt linked to the deal on mineral resources are unfounded, stating there are no debts amounting to $500 billion, $350 billion, or even $100 billion. Zelenskyy stressed the importance of maintaining Ukraine's military strength, noting that the agreement includes a mention of security guarantees in its 10th point.

Zelenskyy expressed his intent to meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington, pending confirmation of his travel plans. He also announced plans to visit London to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, highlighting the potential for the agreement to be a significant success, depending on discussions with Trump. While he has not reviewed the final version of the deal, Ukrainian officials have reported a positive outlook, affirming that key issues raised by Ukraine are addressed in the agreement.
