Baalbek: An Israeli drone strike on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to two others in the Baalbek district of eastern Lebanon, as reported by media outlets. The strike occurred in the Shaara area of Janta, situated near the eastern Lebanon mountain range.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli military has repeatedly violated a ceasefire agreement established on November 27 with Lebanon. Lebanese authorities have documented over 1,033 breaches, resulting in at least 81 fatalities and 279 injuries. The ceasefire was intended to halt the cross-border hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, which had escalated into a full-scale conflict in September.

The terms of the ceasefire stipulated that Israel was to withdraw from southern Lebanon by January 26. However, the deadline was extended to February 18 due to Israel's non-compliance. Although the Israeli army vacated several southern Lebanese towns last week, it continues to maintain a military presence at five border outposts.
