Kyiv: Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal held a substantive meeting Tuesday with a NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegation to discuss ways to deepen defense cooperation and strengthen Ukraine's defense industry.

According to Anadolu Agency, Shmyhal emphasized the effectiveness of the Danish model in supporting the Ukrainian defense sector and proposed expanding that approach. He highlighted the necessity of collaboration between Europe, the United States, and Ukraine to establish a just and lasting peace, while expressing gratitude for NATO's continued support for Ukraine.

The meeting comes as Kyiv seeks to bolster its domestic defense capabilities amid Russia's war, relying increasingly on cooperation with Western allies to maintain military resilience.
