Baghdad: The foreign ministers of Iraq, Egypt, and Jordan met in the Iraqi capital Baghdad ahead of an Arab League Summit, which Baghdad is set to host on Saturday. Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein stated during a news conference that there is a harmony of the three countries' visions on the Palestine issue. He added that they also discussed oil and energy matters.

According to Anadolu Agency, Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi noted that the meeting discussed ways to develop cooperation between the countries. He added that the security of the countries as well as the threats they faced are common. "Our aim is to contribute to the solution of crises in the region," Safadi said, while also calling on the international community to take responsibility for what is happening in Gaza. He expressed support for Syria's reconstruction, stating that "Syria's security is a pillar of security and stability in the region." Safadi also called for an end to Israel's attacks on Syria.

Expressing appreciation for Iraq's preparation of the Arab League Summit, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said, "The convening of the Arab Summit in Baghdad is evidence of Iraq's stability and security." He emphasized that "there is no stability in the region without a solution to the Palestinian issue." Abdelatty mentioned that the three countries are also against the forced displacement of the people of Gaza, highlighting that "we have gone nearly 70 days without any aid entering Gaza, and this is shameful for the international community."

Baghdad is preparing to host delegations that will attend the 34th summit of the Arab League. The top priority at the summit will be Israel's attacks on Palestinian territories, while developments in Lebanon and Syria will also be discussed.
