Kharkiv: Ukraine reported that at least one person died and 62 others were injured following Russian drone strikes on the cities of Kharkiv and Odesa. Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synyehubov stated that the attacks occurred early Monday morning, with four Russian drones targeting the city's Shevchenkivskyi and Slobidskyi districts. The strikes damaged a dormitory, a multi-story building, a supermarket, a cafe, a kindergarten, two cars, and a garage. A subsequent strike in Kharkiv's Kholodnohirskyi district injured 33 people.

According to Anadolu Agency, the attacks began around 5.20 a.m. local time, and Synyehubov later updated the injured count to 29 in the initial strike. A ballistic missile also hit the settlement of Malynivka, causing further damage to civilian infrastructure. In Odesa, Governor Oleh Kiper confirmed one death and damage to the city's infrastructure from the overnight attack.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of air defense, stating on X that Ukraine is relying on international partners to uphold their commitments. He also mentioned ongoing efforts to enhance domestic weapons production, including drones.

Ukraine's Air Force reported that 75 out of 101 Russian drones were intercepted by air defenses, alongside four surface-to-air guided missiles. Russian authorities have not commented on the Ukrainian claims, but the Russian Defense Ministry asserted that it intercepted 91 Ukrainian drones over various regions, including eight in the Moscow area.
