Xi Jinping Highlights China’s Strategic Vision Amid Global Changes

Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized that "aspirations and challenges" are driving China to "seize every moment and persevere with unwavering vigor" in a recent speech.

According to Anadolu Agency, Xi made these remarks during a reception celebrating the 76th anniversary of China's founding. He underscored the unprecedented nature of achieving the "great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation," as reported by the state-run Xinhua News Agency.

The National Day of the People's Republic of China is celebrated on October 1, marking the country's continued progress. Xi highlighted China's advancements this year despite a complex global situation, noting improvements in reform, high-quality development, and comprehensive governance of the communist party.

Xi further emphasized the significance of steadfastly implementing the 'one country, two systems' policy and supporting the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions. He voiced firm opposition to 'Taiwan independence' separatist activities and external interference, advocating for enhanced exchanges and cooperation across the Taiwan Strait.

As global changes accelerate, Xi called for practicing true multilateralism and promoting initiatives such as the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative. He stressed the importance of working with other countries to build a community with a shared future for humanity.

In a related address on Monday, Xi stated that "religions in China can only be passed down healthily by always having their roots in the Chinese culture." He emphasized efforts to integrate religions with traditional Chinese culture during a study session of the Politburo of the Communist Party's Central Committee.

Xi reiterated that since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, the party has introduced new ideas and measures, including the principle that religions in China must align with Chinese orientation. These efforts, he noted, have led to significant progress in religious work in the new era.
