Canakkale: Turkish prefabricated building manufacturer Karmod has successfully installed a prefabricated office and laboratory building at a mining site in the Can district of northwestern Canakkale province, as announced by the company in a statement on Wednesday.
According to Anadolu Agency, Karmod Prefabric General Manager Ugur Kadir emphasized the company's commitment to providing mining sites with safe, ergonomic structures. He noted that the company offers comprehensive services that encompass every stage from site planning to on-site installation. Kadir highlighted the need for specialized planning when constructing buildings in mining areas with challenging working conditions, stating that Karmod leverages its sectoral expertise and organizational capabilities to deliver sustainable site buildings to mining companies, covering everything from design to deployment.
Kadir further mentioned that Karmod aims to provide mine workers throughout Trkiye with living and working spaces that offer the comfort of home. Recently, the company delivered a 405-square-meter office and laboratory facility for a marble quarry in Canakkale. The building, which features a custom elevation of 3.5 meters, was constructed as a sandwich-panel prefabricated structure utilizing rock wool insulation to ensure fire safety and thermal performance. Karmod completed the installation in a span of 16 days, as informed by the company.
