Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's Defense Ministry stated that its forces destroyed two drones in Riyadh and the Eastern region.
According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry also announced on the US social media platform X that it intercepted and destroyed six ballistic missiles launched toward the Al-Kharj Governorate. Fortunately, no casualties or damage were reported from these incidents.
These attacks are part of escalating regional tensions following the joint attacks by Israel and the US against Iran on February 28, which resulted in the death of more than 1,300 people, including Iran's then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, and other countries including Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations, which it claims are aiming at 'US military assets.'
