West bank: Israeli occupiers intensified their attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank, injuring three individuals and setting fire to structures during a series of raids across the occupied territory.
According to Anadolu Agency, three Palestinians sustained injuries when Israeli occupiers targeted two vehicles near Beit Imerin, northwest of Nablus. In the southern region, a home in Al-Tuwani, located in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron, was set ablaze by Israeli occupiers. Additionally, an agricultural structure in Beit Furik was also torched. Activist Fouad Amour reported that racist graffiti was sprayed on the burned home in Al-Tuwani.
The Palestinian government disclosed that in the previous four days, Israeli occupiers attacked 24 Palestinian villages, resulting in injuries to 23 people, and damage to 17 homes, facilities, and 26 vehicles.
Israeli forces carried out a raid on a shop in central Jenin, deploying tear gas canisters. Similar tactics, including live fire and stun bombs, were reported in a raid in Tayasir, east of Tubas. In the town of Deir Ballut, concrete blocks were erected by Israeli forces, restricting resident movement.
In the central West Bank, raids in the Jalazone refugee camp and nearby towns of Al-Ram and Kafr Aqab involved heavy fire, although no injuries were reported.
UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine Francesca Albanese criticized international governments for enabling abuses, stating that Israel has been given a "license to torture Palestinians." Her comments were made during a presentation at the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Since the onset of the Gaza war on October 8, 2023, attacks by Israeli forces and occupiers in the West Bank have resulted in the deaths of 1,133 Palestinians, injuries to 11,700 others, and approximately 22,000 arrests.
The International Court of Justice issued a landmark opinion in July 2024, declaring Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory illegal, calling for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
